Leave it to Emily Ratajkowski to show us how schoolgirl chic is really done. The model stepped out in a look that, while reminiscent of a uniform, would certainly rack up a detention for violating the dress code. EmRata wore an ash-grey set from downtown darling Sandy Liang, which eagle-eyed fans may recognise as the opening look from the designer’s spring/summer 2023 collection, one that has helped define her image in the fashion world.
The scoopneck bra features ribbons that hang down the back – one of Liang’s signatures – and is made of a heavy polyester that’s more commonly used in suits. Ratajkowski paired the bra with its runway companion: a low-waisted knee-length midi-skirt with pleats and belt loops. When it came to her accessories, EmRata did put her own spin on things, however. Over her bra top, she wore one of her recent faves, a leather bomber jacket, and carried a Miu Miu Wander Bag in black.
