A stretch of the motorway remains closed following the crash
The smash between two HGVs happened on the eastbound carriageway of the motorway near junction 10 for the Croft Interchange just after 4.35am this morning . One of the lorries burst into flames, police said.
In a statement, a Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision between two HGVs on the M62 at the Croft interchange. At 4.37am this morning police were called to the collision at junction 10.
