Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) will headline a prominent conservative Nevada PAC's annual basque fry event in June.
The Florida governor will travel to Nevada on June 17 to take part in Morning in Nevada PAC's 8th Annual Basque Fry.The event is taking place at the Corley Ranch in Gardnerville, Nevada, and will last from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Laxalt ran for Senate in 2022 with the backing of both former President Donald Trump and DeSantis. However, he ultimately lost the race to Democratic incumbent Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto . According to Morning in Nevada, more than 1,500 people attended last year's basque fry. The headliner was Sen. Ted Cruz , and other special guests included Laxalt, then-Republican nominee for governor, Joe Lombardo, and Gov. Kristi Noem , among others.According to its website,"Morning in Nevada PAC was created in 2015 by friends of then-Nevada Attorney General Adam Paul Laxalt.
