The former Hearts boss is back in the dugout and insists he has plenty left to offer.
Mad and crazy are just two of the adjectives Craig Levein throws out to describe the pressure pot of football management.
But the 59-year-old insists he never once thought he wouldn’t be back on the frontline. The management game at the top level might be a box of frogs. But Levein leapt at the chance to return with Saints. “I don’t want to go out on that note. I want to do a really good job and this is the place I am going to try. I never thought I wouldn’t be back. I’ve said all along that I wanted another shot at it.
“He has his own ideas on the game and his own ways, he’s been in the youth set-up with Hearts, the first-team with Daniel Stendel, the Hearts woman’s team and then at Brechin as his own guy. Levein said: “It’s all about winning. I came to the game the other night and the atmosphere beforehand in the home support wasn’t great. But afterwards everybody was happy.
