Craig Levein has revealed that he bit off more than he could chew when it came to his workload at Hearts - and he won't be doing the same again at St Johnstone.
Levein is an experienced manager who will know the task at hand; two lengthy spells in Gorgie, an equally impressive tenure at Dundee United and the Scotland role have given him more than enough top-flight experience to clamber the Perth-based side out of the abyss. Levein said: “What I realised at my latter spell at Hearts is trying to do two jobs is extremely difficult, that’s one thing I have learned. The reason I brought Andy with me is he can take some of the load, mainly the day-to-day coaching and give me the chance to spend what energy I have in areas that are the most important.
