Here’s a look at what to expect with the 2022 Akron RubberDucks – in the stands, in the concessions and on the field:
This year, there are 7,630 changes.
The majority of the bowl will have blue seats, but designated “Diamond” seats are padded, orange and blue, and more expensive. They are in the first five rows behind home plate and two rows behind the dugouts. • Another Cheesy Canal Park Dog, a footlong hot dog topped with pulled pork, fried onions and macaroni and cheese.
This season marks the 10th anniversary of extreme-food items in Canal Park. To celebrate, a trio of items from 2011 are returning, for nostalgia’s sake: Nice 2 Meat U burger, 3 Dog Night and - for dessert - The Screamer. That’s the shareable helmet crammed with 21 scoops of ice cream atop a brownie base. It’s topped with bananas, cherries, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Also returning are the Not Your Routine Poutine and TeriyAkron Pineapple Bowl.
