The driver of a bus has been rushed to hospital after crashing into a block of flats in Paisley. Five people were taken to hospital following the incident. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
The driver of a bus which crashed into a block of flats in Paisley this afternoon has been rushed to hospital. Emergency services, including police, paramedics and firefighters, rushed to Hamilton Court in the Calside area of the town, at around 12.20pm on Wednesday (March 13) after a McGill's bus crashed into the high rise flats. Five people were taken to hospital following the incident, with McGill's confirming the driver was one of the patients.
Officers blocked off the area and several roads are closed following the incident including Calside Avenue, Polsons Crescent, Craw Road and Alexandra Gate. Police remain at the scene. McGill's Buses added that it was "too early to know what caused the accident" but confirmed personnel from the company have attended the scene and are working with police
