A man bombarded his ex-girlfriend with "utterly vile" messages after finding out she was in a new relationship.
He also visited her home and hurled a bag at her head during an argument, bruising her eye. Chebbi appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday, where he pleaded guilty to harassment and common assault.The court heard it was not the first time the dad-of-three had lashed out at former girlfriends. In April 2022, he was jailed for 20 months after violently attacking his then-partner on two occasions, burning her with a cigarette, tearing out her hair extensions, and slapping and punching her.
"Set against the background of violence used by you in relation to past partners, she did feel very afraid you would carry out those threats.
