A terrified 12-year-old girl screamed in horror as an 'XL bully' charged towards her dog during a walk on Saturday night.
The schoolgirl and her relative did not sustain any injuries. Her mum, who has wished to remain anonymous, spoke with Glasgow Live about the trauma her little girl suffered. "My relative was running around in a circle and kicking the dog to keep it away but it caught the back end of our dog. It never latched on properly because he was moving about and trying to kick the dog back.
XL bully owners in Scotland have been warned to prepare for new rules which would make it illegal to sell, advertise, gift, exchange or let the dogs stray. They would also need to ensure that they are muzzled and on a lead while in a public place.
