Employees, including delivery drivers, independent distributors, and sales representatives, have been on the brunt end of Anheuser-Busch's financial battering following the partnership with Mulvaney.They are confronted in bars and on the streets by individuals upset at the iconic Bud Light going"woke," and executives are now offering financial support to those front-line teams, according to a report.
“They are our neighbors, family members, and friends. They are in every community in America," Chief Executive Michel Doukeris said during a Thursday conference call, the report noted.Between April 17 and April 22, Bud Light sales were down 26.1% from what they were a year ago, according to Connecticut-based Bump Williams Consulting, a firm specializing in the alcoholic beverage industry.
Many on the Right are furious about Bud Light going"woke" and allowing Mulvaney, a biological male who identifies as female, to promote its product while dressed like Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Offering financial support to workers impacted will come as Bud Light is readying itself to spend big on a massive marketing blitz.
