'I think ultimately, on the whole, there's heavier stuff to grapple with in this season'
With only four days to go until the new series of Blue Lights lands on our screens, the anticipation is building for its return.
Martin McCann, who plays Stevie, says that while we may get to see slightly behind Stevie's cool and collected mask this season, he still very much is a man of mystery when it comes to his personal life. When asked will we see a lot of comedy in series 2, Martin replied: "Nice little light touches here and there but I think this season has a much darker subject.
"I think we find her in, in her personal life, on less stable ground in that her son has left for university and I really like the fact that we get to delve into that.
