Blue Lights will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer with a second series in April 2024 with former Casualty star Derek Thompson making an appearanceThe BBC has announced that Blue Lights will return for a second series with both new and returning cast members.
The second series is set a year after the fall of the McIntyre crime gang and the vacuum has been filled by rival gangs, all competing for dominance. The BBC has announced that the first episode of Blue Light's second series will air at 9pm on Monday, April 15 on BBC One.Stephen Wright, Executive Producer, Creative Director and Joint CEO of Two Cities Television says:"I am so proud of series one and delighted by the audience response.
“I am very grateful to the BBC for the opportunity to make a second series and I'm excited about sharing our new stories and revealing where our officers are one year on.”
