A taxi driver from Belfast has hailed his good fortune after winning a car and cash prize worth more than £39,000 courtesy of online competition specialist BOTB.The 41-year-old was on his way to pick up his next passenger when he received a video call from BOTB presenter Christian Williams, who surprised him with the good news.“It felt absolutely amazing when I found out,” William said. “I’ve only been playing for a couple of months and never expected to win, especially this quickly.
“When I phoned my wife to tell her the news, she was crying and said it would solve all our problems,” said William, who is considering taking the cash alternative.“My daughter has always wanted to go to America, so a two-week holiday over there might also be on the cards.”“I drive a Skoda which is owned by Volkswagen, and they are bulletproof, so VW cars are definitely the ones to go for,” added William.
Christian Wiilliams said: “A massive congratulations to William on winning this amazing prize. It’s a fantastic car and if he decides to take it over the cash alternative, I’m sure he is going to really enjoy driving around in it.
