Research has found a link between 'wokeness' and mental health.

They may be a link between mental health issues and certain views on social issues ‘Wokeness’. It’s come to be one of the defining culture wars of our time. A concept that’s evolved so quickly, the word has almost got lost in its own hype and the frenzy of debate surrounding it. Its underlying meaning, however, has just been linked by one study to increased anxiety, depression and an overall lack of happiness.

This included charting their reactions to the following statements: ‘If white people have on average a higher level of income than black people, it is because of racism’ ‘University reading lists should include fewer white or European authors’ ‘Microaggressions should be challenged often and actively’ ‘Trans women who compete with women in sports are not helping women’s rights’ ‘We don’t need to talk more about the colour of people’s skin’ ‘A white person cannot understand how a black person...
