An architect has created AI-generated images to demonstrate the potential transformation of Accrington, including urban farming, bars and restaurants, and public squares.
An architect has created some artificial intelligence generated images to showcase what the future could look like for Accrington .
The images show Accrington with cobbled streets surrounded by trees and shows outdoor seating and markets. He said: “Accrington has fallen on hard times and it has declined over the years so I used AI as a tool to generate ideas about how the town could be transformed.“When it reaches 5pm there is nothing on and the town is completely dead. If we could create music venues and have more outdoor dining with shelter, trees and places to sit it could draw people from other towns in.
“I think if the public engage with AI more and they see how easy it is to use, they can almost be involved in the design of their own spaces. AI can be done at a low cost and has a high impact.
