A game in memory of Lee Liversidge, Phil Carter and Ibby Hussain will take place at Clitheroe Football Club in May
A football match will be taking place next month in memory of three men who worked for a football club.
Sam, who married Lee in 2016, said: “It is nice to know that everyone is still thinking of Lee and are keeping his memory alive. I will be attending the match with his brother, Ian and his sister, Karen who he was very close to.” “He was funny and the soul of the party. He was a big teddy bear and he would go out of his way for you.The cause of his death was investigated on Cause of Death, the Channel 5 show which looks into unexpected deaths. On the episode senior coroner Dr James Adeley discovered that Ibnaan’s death was caused by left ventricular hypertrophy, which is a thickening of the walls of the lower left heart chamber.
He arranged for the club’s team to play against a Spanish football team based in Torrevieja and the team were invited to the Town Hall. His wife, Sue, also joined Accrington Stanley as a steward and she was often called ‘Auntie Sue’ which amused Phil. “The annual memorial match is brilliant. It means so much to me. I believe they are keeping all three lads’ memories alive and it is amazing in doing so they are also raising money for charity to help others.
