Leeds band Apollo Junction are on course to score their highest charting album.
The local group’s third record ‘Here We Are’ is currently placed at number 33 on the UK’s official mid-week album chart based on sales of CDs, downloads, vinyl, audio and video streams and other formats. The group have urged fans to get their copies bought this week to help them chart as high as possible. In a statement on their social media page, the group wrote: “And this is it.
the full album on iTunes etc. “They don’t want us at their party but we’re here and together we can stay. “It’s GAME ON! is at 33!” In an interview with the YEP, frontman Jamie Williamson said the group were “really proud” of the new collection of tracks, adding: “It’s definitely a step up from our previous work. The songs are definitely ones we’ve been heading towards our whole career.” The UK album chart is currently topped by The Rolling Stones, who are on course to score their 14th number one album with ‘Hackney Diamonds’.
