Craig from Falkirk wanted Rangers given the three points - but Halliday simply wasn't having it.
Andy Halliday went swinging for a 'mental' claim by a Rangers fan that their side should be HANDED three points by the SPFL.
Fury is in the air among Ibrox punters after their game against Dundee was postponed less than two hours before kick-off due to the state of the pitch at Dens Park. It was the fourth time this season Dundee have had a home game postponed and it will now need to be rearranged at a later date, with the fixtures piling up for the Light Blues and Philippe Clement.
Fan Craig from Falkirk called into Clyde 1 Superscoreboard to demand a Dundee forfeit with the three points awarded to Rangers. But host Gordon Duncan responded that the claim was 'a bit mental' and raised questions over whether points should be given to Aberdeen, St Johnstone and Ross County who have had previous games postponed at Dens.
And Halliday, now plying his trade at Motherwell, wasn't having the fan's claim either. He said: "Craig, I appreciate your first call, but Gordon's just described it as mental, and I'm going to back that up. I do think it's a bit mental to be giving Rangers the three points. I can understand the frustration, it all looked a bit messy, you're calling off a game that was meant to be live on Sky 90 minutes before kick-off. It wasn't a great look.
"But Gordon kind of stole the point I was going to make. What are you going to do with the other three games that got postponed at Dens Park. It's unfortunate and it's not great timing with the games coming thick and fast, but I certainly don't think the points should be handed to other clubs."
