FRANKFURT, Germany: World Cup winner and former Germany coach Rudi Voeller, who took over as national team director on Friday , pledged to help win back the fans after disappointing results in recent years.
He has come out of retirement to take his current post at a difficult time following the departure of Oliver Bierhoff after Germany's first-round World Cup exit in Qatar in December. "It is a bit a of a deja vu for me but not really the same. Formerly as a coach and now as national team director," Voeller told a news conference.
