I was never in a rush to get wireless headphones, but a few weeks into the pandemic, I realized I was longing for a very specific experience I didn’t have in isolation: plugging into my music and tuning out the world. I can’t describe the specific satisfaction of having music tucked right into your ear on public transit or while walking, but if you know, you know.
They check off most things I look for in headphones. First, comfort. I can never get on board with hard plastic earbuds. Give me the squishy silicone to fit snugly in my ear all day. They also have a small fin for added stability, which comes in extra handy while I’m working out. You can adjust volume, pause, and toggle between songs all through touch controls—which, not gonna lie, makes me feel very futuristic as I tap my ear to skip to a better song.
Worth noting: Since I’m an iPhone user, I didn’t get the full experience, which is allegedly even faster and more integrated on Android phones , but I haven’t had any issues. —
