A £500,000 upgraded football pitch has been completed in Stanley Park, thanks to investment from Blackpool Council and the Football Foundation. The refurbished floodlit 3G pitch will meet the growing demand for grassroots football in the town, with at least 80 new teams formed in recent years. The benefits of the 3G pitch include better drainage, reduced risk of injury, natural grass-like feel, durability, and low maintenance.
A £500,000 upgraded football pitch is now up and running in Stanley Park following investment from Blackpool Council and the Football Foundation .
Benefits of the 3G pitch include: better drainage enabling it to be used all year without getting muddy; less risk of injury due to underlay which absorbs the impact of falls; looks and feels like natural grass; can withstand intensive usage without showing wear and tear; and low maintenance so can be used daily.
