Joshua Molnar claimed he acted in self-defence.
Yousef Makki was stabbed to death in Trafford by Joshua Molnar Yousef Makki, 17, a Manchester student stabbed in the heart by a friend in March 2019, was ‘unlawfully killed’, a coroner has ruled today. The Manchester Grammar School pupil, from Burnage, died after being stabbed by his friend Joshua Molnar in Hale Barns, Trafford. Molnar, now 22, told a jury on July 2019 that he acted in self-defence when he fatally stabbed the teenager with a flick-knife.
Molner was jailed for 16 months for possession of a knife in a public place and perverting the course of justice. A second inquest into Yousef’s death was held after the High Court swatted the result of the first and ordered a new hearing with a different coroner. The second inquest heard four days of evidence last week. Got a story? Get in touch with our news team by emailing us at [email protected]. Or you can submit your videos and pictures here.
