Temperatures are expected to reach 20C in parts of Yorkshire on Saturday
Yorkshire is set to get a taste of summer sun this weekend, with temperatures set to be just as warm as Barcelona.
While heavy rain is set to batter the region on Friday , the weekend weather will be an opportunity to pack away the umbrellas and bring out the sunglasses. The Met Office is predicting highs of 20C and sunny intervals this Saturday - the same temperature as the Spanish holiday destination. Scarborough, Sheffield , Leeds and Bradford are all predicted to see temperatures of 19C, with highs of 20C expected in Doncaster and York.Although Saturday will start with some showers, temperatures will rise across the region as the day goes on with cloudy and sunny intervals expected from 10am onwards. Although it is likely to feel a little colour, with winds of up to 43 mph expected to blast the region during the day.
But the Spanish style weather won’t be around for long, with temperatures dropping down to average on Sunday. The outlook for Yorkshire between Saturday and Monday, according to The Met Office, is: “Sunshine and blustery showers this weekend. Windy with upland gales. Monday, winds easing with rain later. Warm on Saturday, near normal temperatures from Sunday.
