The Yankees have Monday off after sweeping the Astros over the weekend at Minute Maid Park.

The Yankees are getting contributions from their other kids, too. Oswald Peraza, a starter at third the last two weeks, had three hits on Saturday and an RBI single on Sunday. Everson Pereira, the Yankees’ everyday left fielder since his first call-up on Aug. 22, had a big hit Saturday to break a tie.
“Look, with all these guys we’re going to see bumps and growing pains along the way,” Boone said. “But to come in to here against a really good team in a great environment and have them handle themselves the way they have is really encouraging.”“I think we’re just having more fun, we’re playing a lot more loose and definitely brought an awesome energy here,” pitcher Michael King said.
“It’s like we’ve been here all year,” Wells said. “The have been great with us. I couldn’t be more appreciative in how they’ve treated all the young guys.”
