SummerSlam will take place on Saturday, August 5, from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. This marks the first time the event has occurred in Michigan since 1993.
In a statement, Dan Ventrelle, Executive Vice President of Talent at WWE said:"We are excited for Ford Field to host WWE's biggest event of the summer and look forward to the WWE Universe converging on Detroit to celebrate SummerSlam's long-awaited return to Michigan.
