The Media Rating Council voted to accredit Nielsen for national TV ratings after a 19-month suspension
The media industry’s measurement watchdog, the Media Rating Council, said it voted to restore accreditation for Nielsen Holdings PLC’s national TV ratings service, which had been suspended since 2021.
Nielsen has corrected the problems in its national ratings service that led to its loss of accreditation 19 months ago, said George Ivie, executive director and CEO of the MRC.
Karthik Rao, chief executive of audience measurement at Nielsen, said the accreditation comes after the company rigorously rebuilt its systems.
