The demonstrations across dozens of cities amounted to a national outpouring of grief and anger at theMs Amini was arrested three days earlier in Tehran for allegedly violating Iran’s strict hijab law, which requires women to cover their hair and wear loose-fitting robes. Among the other protests that have swept Iran, in Tehran on Monday, men and women chanted: ‘We will fight and take our country back.’
