Zoe Coles lost her 'old voice' some nine months ago and doctors say there is nothing they can do
A woman who woke up one day with a Welsh accent, despite never having visited the country, said she wants her old voice back.
Nine months on, Zoe said she wants her old accent back and for life to return to normal. She said: "I am struggling a lot, you are born with a voice, you grow up and develop a way of speaking. Zoe was diagnosed with FND, a condition where there is a problem with how the brain sends and receives signals in January 2022. Because of this, Zoe often has tics, memory problems, slurred speech and pain in her legs.
"I get so tired so quickly, I can do the shopping because I can hold the trolley but I can't do much more. It completely wipes me out." "That is really difficult, I don't want to lie and say I am from somewhere in Wales. I have no clue about Wales, I have never been."
