'The defendants were keen that the claimant and her sister would ride the horses, as it was thought to be good publicity to have two sisters riding the two brothers. 'The likelihood of the damage or of its being severe was due to the characteristics of the horse which are not normally found in horses or are not normally found in horses except at particular times or in particular circumstances.
'He had a reputation for being a calm horse that did not react unpredictably. Prior to the accident the claimant had ridden Alfie at walk, trot, canter and gallop. There had been no dangerous incidents with Alfie before the accident. He was a suitable horse for the claimant to ride.
