A woman was taken to hospital after being found in the wooded area
Greater Manchester Police were called to Amberswood Common around the Platt Bridge area of Wigan at around 10.10am on Wednesday, October 18. Once police descended on the woodland they found a woman had been stabbed.
Police haven't provided any more information about the attack, and no arrests have been made as yet. Officers are said to have remained in the area this afternoon to conduct enquiries.
