A woman talks about her experience of living in Merseyside, America, Africa, and Asia, and how she became more interested in her family background. She also discusses her mother's journey from Peru to Mexico and her own upbringing in Prescot.
A woman has shared what it’s like to live in Merseyside , America , Africa and Asia , but admits there is one big thing she misses most. Dara Beesely, 25, was keen to fit in at her school in Prescot . But as she grew older, she grew more intrigued with her family background . Speaking to the ECHO, Dara said: “My mother is Peru vian. She moved to Mexico for education opportunities when she was in her twenties. There’s really good opportunities in Chihuahua in Mexico .
That’s where she met my biological father, who’s from Cuba and left before I was born.” Mum Angela gave birth to Dara in Mexico before they moved to Prescot so Angela could complete her PhD. She is now a qualified engineer. The family later moved to Liverpool city centre, and it was during her teenage years that Dara began to change her outlook
