Emergency services raced to Niddrie Mains Road in the capital after she was hit by a van at around 10.15am on Thursday.
Ambulance crews attended and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment. Her condition is currently unknown.The road was closed for a short time, reopening just before 11am. Officers have confirmed their enquiries are ongoing.

The road was closed while emergency services attended and reopened just before 11am. Enquiries into the crash are ongoing.”
