Trongate, between Glassford Street and High Street, is closed until further notice and local diversions are in place.
A city centre road remains closed after a pedestrian was hit by a bus on Trongate near to Stockwell Street this afternoon.
The incident prompted a large number of emergency crews who scrambled to the scene around 2.10pm on Wednesday, January 11.READ MORE: Baby struck on the head by brick launched through bus window in Glasgow A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Emergency services attended and the woman has been taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. No details on her condition or injury.
