A woman was rescued Saturday after she fell about 25 feet from the top of the rock outcropping outside the Lost Gulch Trailhead
Boulder County Sheriff’s Office received a call referencing the woman’s fall at 3:56 p.m., according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Rescuers from Mountain View Fire Protection District and American Medical Response arrived on scene and provided medical treatment for the 20-year-old University of Colorado student. Members of the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group then moved the woman from the ledge to the ambulance. She was transported to a Boulder-area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. The rescue took approximately two hours, according to the release.
Agencies involved in the rescue included the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, American Medical Response, City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, Mountain View Fire Protection District and the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group.
