Alice Marie Johnson visited a prison in Alabama to spread her message of hope and second chances after former President Trump granted her clemency.

Alice Marie Johnson was granted clemency from a life in prison sentence in 2018 over a nonviolent drug offense, and has since used her incarceration experience to advocate for criminal justice reforms and be 'a light' to those behind bars who want a second chance. 'My time in prison was a mission, was purposeful. I know that I spread a lot of light, a lot of hope even as a prisoner when people knew I had a life sentence,' Johnson told Fox News Digital in a recent interview.

'They're still there. And as I say, I've become their voice for them. And I would really give a strong message to families: Don't stop fighting for your loved ones. Don't forget about them. And out of sight so often in society is out of mind. They're there. And I'm going to continue to use my voice and my platform to lift up those that they may never see.
