Royal Mail said the area is not experiencing four week delays but added: 'We are committed to restoring quality of service'
Residents on two south Liverpool streets claim they haven't had post in weeks resulting in them missing important information like hospital appointments and ballot papers.
One local resident, who lives on Brodie Avenue, told the ECHO: "It's been over a month now. The last time we received post properly was September 11. It was my birthday recently and I normally get quite a few cards. The woman, who did not want to be named due to her job working on the railways, told the ECHO she has gone back to the sorting office on several occasions but nothing seems to have changed. She added post dated back to September 10 has arrived but nothing recent.
The ECHO was also approached by a man who lives on Meredale Road, Mossley Hill. He claimed to have not received a post delivery for over a month. He claimed when he visited the sorting office on Pitville Road, he was informed the Royal Mail had "stopped delivering mail" to his road.
