'There were two men and I heard one of them shouting 'I killed her''
A woman has died after being hit by a truck during the early hours of Sunday morning near Livingston football stadium. A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Police and forensic officers remain at the scene on Alderstone Road, where a forensic tent has been erected. One local eyewitness said they heard shouting in the early hours of the morning and claimed two men fled the scene. The woman, who asked not to be named, said: "I woke up to the noise. There were two men and I heard one of them shouting 'I killed her'. Then they ran off. When I looked out again this morning I saw police and a blue tent."A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.20am on Sunday, 7 August, 2022, officers were called to reports of a person being hit by a truck on Alderstone Road, Livingston.“A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection.
