SINGAPORE: A woman was shocked to find “worms/maggots” in a box of coffee capsules she purchased online. Two of the three boxes she bought had holes, including the one where she made the unwanted discovery.
In a July 17 post on the COMPLAINT SINGAPORE Facebook page, Ms Jolene Tan wrote that she had bought three boxes of Dolce Gusto Latte Macchiato White Coffee Capsules through the brand’s official store on Lazada.“To my absolute horror, 2 of the boxes had tiny holes in them (which I didn’t realize until I opened the first one, and when the box was half emptied…this is what I saw.

Do you think this is acceptable?”Ms Tan then appealed to netizens to advise her on what she needed to do next. “Please let me know what I should do with this 1 remaining box. I’m not sure this happened at their warehouse or packing level, but this is certainly unacceptable. Aside from writing to Nestle’s customer care’s email, what else should I do?”
She added that she has taped over the hole on the other box because she does not want the unwanted creatures to crawl out of the box.Netizens commenting on Ms Tan’s post have advised her to reach out to both Nestlé and Lazada, along with photos of the box and the contents inside.
