A telecoms pillar that partially blocked Chris McNarney's drive was replaced by an even bigger pole that encroaches even further on her space.
A woman has been left fuming after a telegraph pole that partially blocked her driveway was replaced by an even bigger pole that encroaches onto her space even more.
Ms McNarney, of Sanctuary Way in Grimsby, wants to be able to use her driveway without any potential obstruction from the pole, and is also fearful it may impact her selling her house in future. But when she returned home from work one day to find the new pole installed, she realised it went even further across her drive. Ms McNarney, who claims a supervisor of fibre cables being installed told her it was a bigger "industrial pole", which is not the norm in residential areas.
Top news stories today A BT spokesperson said: "We’re aware of the impact our equipment can have and the balance between cost effectiveness, aesthetics and safety can be difficult to achieve. We’ve visited the property to take photographs of the pole which have been sent to our poling team so they can re-examine the positioning of the pole.
