The unusual case of a woman being declared dead by paramedics before she woke up in hospital is now being investigated by police.The woman, who wasn't identified, was declared dead by paramedics with the U.K. North East Ambulance Service on Thursday, October 12, before she was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital, in North East England, where she later woke up.
'A spokesperson for County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, which manages Darlington Memorial Hospital, told Newsweek it wouldn' add to the ambulance service's comment.The incident comes months after the NEAS was strongly criticized in a report investigating patient safety and governance.
