An elderly woman has died and a man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a horror crash.
They were both extracted from the car and raced to hospital for treatment, where it has been confirmed that the woman, who was from the local area, has sadly died. Meanwhile the elderly male is still being treated. Cornwall Live reports that no other vehicles were involved. The A390 remained closed for three and a half hours.
"A man and a woman sustained life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital. Sadly, the woman, in her 80s and from the St Austell area, died of her injuries at Derriford Hospital yesterday, 22 October.
