A 70-YEAR-OLD woman has been sexually assaulted near a park in Bearsden.
At around 5.15pm on Friday, March 22, the woman was walking near Colquhuon Park, near Station Road, when she was approached by a man with a"dishevelled" appearance.Man rushed to hospital after being 'stabbed' in broad daylightHe had a dishevelled appearance with a receding brown hair and an unkempt beard.There will be an increased police presence in the area while police search for the man.
"This area is extremely busy and is well used by the community with dog walkers, runners and people walking to the train station. "If anyone has any recording equipment, please check your footage it could have images which could assist our investigation. Chief Inspector Brian Fraser added:"I’m aware this will be of great concern to residents, and I want to assure everyone that we are doing all we can to locate the man responsible.
