A 22-year-old woman was charged with manslaughter in the downtown Saskatoon death of a 23-year-old woman early Saturday morning

A 22-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and initially charged with second-degree murder until the charge was downgraded to manslaughter. Police say the two women are known to each other. According to Saskatoon police, she was scheduled to appear Saturday night before a justice of the peace. Officers are continuing to investigate.
