Wolverine and Spider-Man combine for a new variant cover celebrating the return of Edge of Spider-Verse!
The Spider-Verse is returning this summer, and Marvel is celebrating the occasion by combining Spider-Man with Wolverine as a part of a series of brand new variant covers.
Last year, the Edge of Spider-Verse introduced fans to a host of new Spider-Heroes, including the popular superhero dinosaur Spider-Rex and the musical princess Spinstress. In celebration of the new Edge of Spider-Verse series coming in May, Marvel has commissioned a series of twenty-five variant covers by top comic artists to introduce a whole new group of Spider-themed heroes.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Wolverine and Spider-Man Combine Into the Ultimate Web-Slinger The design for Wolvie’s new spider-suit is the perfect blend of both characters’ iconic costumes, taking the classic yellow and blue color scheme of Wolverine and overlaying it with the iconic Spider-Man webbing.
Whether we see any more of this combined Spider-Man/Wolverine hero remains to be seen, but at least fans have a beautiful new variant cover to hunt down. Edge of Spider-Verse #1 is on sale May 3rd and Wolverine #33 is on sale May 10th, both from Marvel Comics.
