A permit for the demolition of the building at 12884 City Center Blvd. filed by the property’s owner is currently in review by the city. The Jacksonville Daily Record first reported the demolition permit. It was the first multiplex in Northside, which has a population of more than 115,000 people within seven miles of River City Marketplace, according to RPT Realty marketing materials. With the closing, the closest theaters for moviegoers include AMC Regency 24 and AMC Classic Yulee 10 .
