“She set up mats and did all this work,” Bryan said. “Our athletic director came in one day and said, ‘Hey, you help him a ton. Why don’t we just put you on staff?’”“He put her on staff,” Bryan said. “He saw she was a very valuable part to what we do every single day. It helped me a ton.”This season is the first as an official head coach-assistant coach pairing for the Thomases, but Bridget has been by Bryan’s side on the mat for the last 18 years.
Senior Payten Muir and junior Amaya De La Rosa were district champions. Junior Marina Wilson , sophomore Tristan Rios , junior Ethan Elliott , junior Blake Messick and junior Hunter May were runners-up in their respective classes.
