Saturday was exactly the type of victory Golden State needed heading into the next stretch of their schedule – one that features six road games in nine days.

SAN FRANCISCO – The Warriors have looked like champions on their home court this season, where they’ve been nearly unbeatable, posting a 12-2 record.Golden State hasn’t been able to sustain that success on the road, falling to a head-scratching 2-11 hole in the first two months.

“The good thing for us is that nobody is running away from the West,” coach Steve Kerr said. “We probably have lost three or four games we very easily could’ve won but we lost for a reason, we weren’t really ready to win close games, I don’t think we were solid enough.” “It just gives you the recipe on the intensity and focus you have to have to beat a team like that,” Stephen Curry said.

The Warriors open this grueling run with the championship-contending Milwaukee Bucks Tuesday and end it against a familiar face in Kevin Durant who’s propelled the Brooklyn Nets to be winners in eight of their last 10 games. The Bucks own the second-best record in the league at 19-7 and present as much of a challenge as the Celtics did, but, unlike Boston, they have the home crowd behind them. The Warriors have dropped their last two games in Milwaukee by an average of 29 points.
