During the last couple of seasons, she has shown remarkable resilience in dangerous situations. In her confrontation with Lalo in the season five episode 'Bad Choice Road', it was Kim, not Mr Goodman, who defused the situation by standing up to Lalo’s interrogation. It is also Kim, not Saul, who drives the attack on Howard throughout season six. Mike says as much when he claims that she is made of"sterner stuff" than Jimmy in 'Hit and Run' . Mr Ehrmantraut tends to be right, so why shouldn’t Kim find a way of getting out alive?Perhaps more interestingly: if Kim survives, how will she do so? There are many ways for her and Saul to part that would set him on his inevitable path towards darkness.
She may flee because of their increasing connection to the cartel, or their complicity in Howard’s murder. She could be the first major character in thetimeline to suddenly go off the grid via Ed’s "vacuum shop", a move which Walt and Saul make later on.’s final season, even if it would repeat a previous story beat. Saul would probably push such a move, seeing as Kim is not a quitter. Alternatively, Kim could go to prison by taking the fall for Saul.
