Clear Creek sends Mavs into district with 48-12 defeat
Memorial's Jayvian Nowlin is engulfed by Clear Creek defenders during fourth quarter play Friday night. That rampage of 17 straight points to end the first half, highlighted by a 48-yard field goal from Garrett Carleton with plenty of room to spare, officially ended those hopes of a third straight win. Now Memorial heads into District 22-6A action with a 2-2 record. Clear Creek finished with a 1-2 record against the 22-6A teams. Deer Park won handily two weeks ago by a 33-14 score, but they gave Channelview a run for its money, only losing 27-24 just last week.
Stallings and Ethan Munoz would connect for a 45-yard touchdown pass to get one back, but that would be the end of Memorial's scoring for the night.
