Why would GOP torpedo efforts to lower cost of insulin for diabetics? [Opinion]
GOP senators are annoyed they got played by the Democrats, who actually got two major bills passed. So now, in a show of petulance, they punished diabetic patients by refusing to vote to cap insulin costs to $35 for patients with private insurance.
What kind of petty, vindictive people are “serving” in the Senate who take our their political loss on those with life threatening illnesses? Oh, I know, they’re the same folks who want to cut Medicare and Social Security, and then claim they are evil entitlements. Only seven GOP senators chose to stand up for insulin dependent diabetics. Even senators stepping down at the end of this term would not show compassion for children and working poor who ration their dosage to get through the month. Disgusting.
